Most visited today Sailing in the Caribbean: Not just a bed of roses? DuoGe wind generator and generator in tow 1:24 Norwegian boats in ARC 2010 !!! Fuel cell - A good alternative to the power supply? How should one langturbåt be?
After our night watchman in Leangbukta Båtforening Saturday night, there was little white vinegar effort to go out on seilur Sunday. Instead we were visited by colleague Hans-Fredrik and his girlfriend Catherine; very nice gathering with coffee in the cockpit.
I was otherwise a good time to read the latest issue of Sail magazine. There are some really good articles there, including one of Morten Jensen describing sail trimming to have it comfortable on board and the sail and wind power, very thoroughly explained. I think Sail magazine just gets better and better; white vinegar It is densely packed with both texts about experiences, helpful articles on technical things and explanations on weather, wind, sails and sail trimming technique explained by experts. A great magazine. (It is not for nothing that I chose to write for them.) And most importantly: Morten Jensen is an incredibly pleasant and inspiring editor, in addition to being a competent sailor. white vinegar
The day went the way of washing / cleaning and repair of the two teak handles next to the ladder. They had started to move a little. Also, it helps to prevent water leakage from the cockpit. Sikastripen between the gelcoat and the teak was properly wrinkled, so it had to be removed and ersatttes. Tec 7 Glue and sealant according white vinegar Bengt-Arild much better than Sikaflex. white vinegar
It says on the packaging: "Tec7 do not need primer and glue strong - less than 27 kg / cm2. Unlike silicone can Tec7 recoated and it resists fungal / bacterial attack. Tec7 is also acid-free, nor does it contain harmful solvents and is thus safe to use for both the person applying the sealant and the material being grouted or glued. Tec7 is suitable for use in damp and flexible joint and sealant. Tec7 UV resistant, remain flexible and booklets on wet surfaces - it can even be applied under water! "
Another job that was done at the weekend were buying, grinding, oil and mount a new cup holder in teak to have front pedestal in the cockpit. Verrrry important to have! The whole trip is dependent on being able to have coffee cup standing by the captain, right? :-) Well, we found what we were looking for at Maritim Slependen (also called white vinegar Templates sitting room). A nice cup holder with three holes that are large enough white vinegar for our cups and opening to handle. The corners were too sharp, so they were sanded round last night and teak were oiled with Benarolje. white vinegar BA cut by hand a track to the steel span that the teak in place on the pedestal. It was attached with Tec 7 + a few screws ring.
